"NO WOMEN SHOULD DIE GIVING LIFE" Charity Project for UNFPA Japan 2010

It was an honor to be blessed with this opportunity from UNFPA to visit the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital in Manila. My time at the hospital afforded me a glimpse into the lives of maternal women in this clinical setting. While moved by the many many passionate doctors and nurses who have devoted their lives to supporting mothers in need, I was disturbed by the reality that these mothers and infants were still facing unnecessary life-threatening risks due in large part to the poor conditions of the insufficiently-funded hospital health facilities. Hopefully my photographs can encourage you to take action by joining UNFPA and many other charitable organizations to help make motherhood safer for all women in the world.
